It was one of those delicious Toronto nights in late summer when the temperatures slowly begin to fall with the sun and the landscape warms its tones to start welcoming Fall. It was then that I joined Laura & Ari a handful of months before their November wedding to capture what life looks like now. Their home. Their favourite spots in the neighbourhood. Their fun, present and dare I say smoking hot connection.

This is perhaps my favourite style of 'engagement shoot' to capture as a photographer. A portrait session focused not only on pretty pictures but on capturing the beautiful, imperfectly perfect details of what life looks and feels like. Its the kind of session that helps you remember what records you played as you cooked dinner, the corners of your home that weren't perfectly finished just yet, the name of your favourite cafe & wine bar and how it felt when it was just the two of you with nothing but a plan for the night and the rest of your lives together.
